Combi with hot water tank - no HW

I feel like I am getting closer, but your expert advice thanks.

I removed the head body and I think the valve was stuck, it's moving about a 1/4 of a turn now. A question as always please, what activates the microswitch? I thought it was the gold lever but on manual there is a gap and it doesn't get close to pressing the switch.

Yes, the lever doesn't make the switch.
