I've an Ariston Combi-boiler which was installed in 2000 by the previous owner of my house.
The problem with the boiler is that I cannot get hot water unless the central heating is running. Turning on a hot tap without thew central heating on has no effect on the boiler, and it does not come to life as would be expected. Whilst the central heating is running, the hot water works fine.
I've had a reputable heating engineer in on several occasions now. He has tried several things to fix the boiler but is now at a loss at to explain what is happening and how to resolve the problem.
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.
