Could do with some advice regarding drainage and the need to install 'traps'.
There's an underground 100mm drainage pipe running along the house. I'm 99% sure it takes both rainwater and foul waste. I need to plumb a downpipe from the guttering into it. Do i need to make sure i use a water trap in order to 'seal' the system?
Ideally due to the space available i would come off the existing pipe by inserting a 'Y' and then a 90degree bend and have the downpipe go straight into this with one of those black rubber seal cap things. Is this adequate?
Any advice around this subject would really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
