well delta T , I don't know ???on a general point I do not think people should be verbally abused at all in particular on an open type forum , surely one can get there point across without resrting to abuse ?? I am also of the opinion that those in the employ of British Gas that venture on to this forum are at times subject to a rough ride , which is not in my view warranted they are nort responsible for BG policy , most of them probably have issues with BG themselves , and at times are doing a difficult job under some difficult conditions / circumstances ! there an easy target !! which is not right !
As for Agile I have a lot of time for him , but wether you call it abuse or not ?? it is somewhat more subtle based upon what some member of the public post various installers & Plumbers are labelled as Idiots or numptys ect , & that is not right ! As for you Delta T can you not try toneing it down abit , sort of give the sugar coated version hmmm course you will

Are career change chancers the guys who leave jobs in the city who are say in their 40's and retrain as a plumber to earn more money?

Surley at that age you will never know as much as a lad who did it as a teenager or in twentys?

I'm sure some of them turn out to be fairly decent plumbers but I know my mate at work had a plumber round to replace an old direct copper cylinder and he couldn't understand why the oringinal '22mm' pipe was smaller and he had real problems trying to solder them.

I believe they were 3/4" but I think he managed to solder 22mm onto it and getting a seal by stacking blobs of solder on top.
