We have a Dad group chat for the estate we live....ages between mid 20s - 60s

Yesterday between 4&5 a picture taken by a wife, was put on the chat of fella with a bike sitting outside side Brian's house.

Brian is in his 80s and on his own.

Then a video of him loitering.... then one of him trying get into the door with surgical gloves.

That was the point that I downed tool and said Ill be there ASAP.
One fella walking his dog said he would get there.

By the time I got there with My heavy Maglike Milwaukee torch there was a copper, and one of my neighbours in the front door.
Then two over neighbours run over.

Great practice
for when its the real thing and shows that we still have community spirit that cares for one another.

The poor young man was care worker who was a bit overwhelmed by a mass of neighbours and a copper on the doorstep.
Brian however was full of beans and a little amused by all the drama.

All good in the end. The young care worker was asked for his ID and hopefully he understood this was British caring culture at its best.
