I am a bit stuck, I wonder if anyone can help.
I ordered double glazed windows and a composite front door from a company. For the door they only had 2 finishes (or skins as they called them). One had very deep 'in your face' grooves with I did not like; the other was slighly smoother finish. So I chose the 2nd one and placed the order with a deposit.
Two weeks down the line they have come back to me saying that they cannot do the chosen finish as my door is on the small side and that they can only do the first skin (deep grooves). I told them that was unacceptable. The other option they have presented is to go for uPVC door (which I believe are slightly inferior and cheaper).
I have told them I am not happy and am not going to accept the other finish or the uPVC option; they are threatening me with legal action.
What I dont understand is how does the size of the door effect the finish (skin). Surely they should be able to apply any finish to any door.
The door is 190x88cm.
