I've fitted doors and windows in the past, but this time I have a door with side window attached. Now, I know the door and side panel will come with some steel reinforcment strips, but the question is, how is best to fix the door frame to the side window frame?

I've only ever fitted frames direct to brick, so want to be sure, as I have seen people using self tappers for this, but surely there's a more professional and secure method?

Thanks.

If you mean a metal reinforced coupler between the 2 then unless you've spec'd this it might just come with a H section PVC coupler? Either way you'll use something like 'baypole' screws screwed through the side panel frame into the door frame before glazing
