Hi
Just replaced a broken triton ivory 2 shower with a new one of the same model.
The water inlet pipe has a piece welded on with the compression ring either part of the pipe or welded on so i have had to re-use this . The shower end has a new fitting on so that should be OK .Switched the water on and there does not are not any leaks.
Is this re used ring likeley to hold up OK?
Replacing means the pipe will have to be cut back behind the wall.
Also is it possible to overtighten them?

Thanks

Sould be fine but if its ok now then it will probably no problem. reusing a nut & ring to join on again is done all the time.
