Hi quick query. I have a small leak in a pipe. The pipe is joined to a 90 degree compression elbow. My idea is to just unscrew the compression elbow, cut the pipe just before the hole and then reconnect the compression joint. The elbow can move as it's just connected to a isolation valve and a flexible house to the tap. My worry is that I've read you can't reuse a compression fitting. Would it be alright if I just have a new olive ring or will the compression elbow be damaged and so leak.

Thanks
