My downstairs loo is a very similar shape and size to this one but looks nothing like it!

I'd like to add a very similar setup (without the pimped out colour) but I've had a couple of plumbers round and they seem put off by the concealed cistern saying if things go wrong you're stuffed and you have to sometimes breakout the plaster.

Would you recommend one, from a decent make like Geberit? If so what problems can arise that can't be fixed from going through the flush panel?

Wan't to weigh up the pros and cons before I go ahead.

have only fitted geberit wall frames with concealed cistern, very good product and any maintenance is done tool less via the flush panel,No other maintenance will be required as long as its all fitted correctly in the first instance.

Fit Geberit all the time. Just done 5 in one house. Go for the frame and wall hung pan and it’ll be easy to keep your guest toilet nice and clean as you can mop the whole floor and won’t have the footprint to keep clean (y)

Just fitted a grohe, very easy to do and the quality seems excellent. I'll let you know in 10 years whether it was any good.
I considered sticking a tile panel to a sheet of ply, and hanging that rather than screwing it to allow access later, but I decided the risk of the tiles moving all the time was greater than the risk of needing to get in there. In the end I've just hung the side strip where the stack from upstairs goes.
