I have a concept alarm system which was installed in the property in 1993 before I moved in (2003). We had a power cut yesterday evening for 45 mins when the power came back on it looks like the alarm has reset itself back to factory settings. ie my code no longer works but 0123 does. The problem is when I try to set the alarm code using 0123 all the zones flash on the panel (which is not normal) and I am unable to reset the alarm by enter 0123 and then reset. If I leave it the alarm looks like it activates and then I am able to enter 0123 to disable. I am not sure if the bell sounded last night when the power came back on or whether it was my neighbours alarm as I was obviously trying to deactivate my panel using my old code which didnt work and the light on my outside box wasnt flashing. Does anyone have a idea of what to do next it may sound silly to you guys but should I install a new battery first and see if that solves the problem or is there something else wrong.
