Concrete bed for sleepers?

Hello,

I plan to use sleepers to divide a gravel parking area and a turfed area. If the sleepers are sat in to the ground around 3 or 4" deep would I need to sit them on a small bed of concrete or simply on the ground.

Hi,
I've sat mine on a gravel and sand bed to allow water to drain, with a dpc strip stapled to the turf side.
I don't know if this is best practice, but the sleepers have been down for years without issue!

https://www.pavingexpert.com/featur08 reckons you should have a concrete bed. Might not be 100% necessary but is probably best practice.
