I have an area in my garden which i want to fill, instead of slabs, as i think the concrete option will be quicker and keep costs down

The size is 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres and the depth is 30mm

I've read there are different strength mixes i.e c10, c10, c15 etc

Would a 6:1 ballast and cement suffice?

Which would be the appropriate mix to go for? I am not concerned what the finish will look like as i am intending to lay artificial grass over it.

Just want to fill the void and level to the same height and strength of the rest of my slabs in my garden.

Is the 30mm thick a typo?

The depth that needs to be filled is 30 to 40mm at which point it would be level to the slabs.but i understand i may need to dig soil out to prep etc

Yes 6:1 is fine for a bit of hardstanding.

You prob need 75mm thick about
