Hi,

Im after some advice as to what to do next, I bought a house about 6 mnths ago and it had a block shed built in the garden with pitch roof that looks great , I had a company lay a patio a few days ago and as they was digging some top soil away the guy told me that the shed was sitting on a concrete slab with no footings, I contacted the original owner and he confirmed this and said it would be fine, Will it be ok and if not what is my next course of action as the last thing i want is it falling down, there is no sign of it at the moment but im now worried

Thanks

If the shed is single-skin block, and not too wide in span, the slab its standing on should be fine.
I suspect your patio men are mischievously trying to sow seeds of doubt.

Hi Tony,

Yes its 2 sides block and 2 sides face brick with one of the sides housing a electric roller door and the other side with the door and window, All single skin

So it should be fine?

Forget about it. If any cracking in the walls occurs in the future you can deal with it then, but now, there's no problem... :)
