Hi

I've got this large concrete slab in my garden that a previous owner had a building on. It's south facing so I'm thinking I'd like to move our greenhouse over to it (far corner) and put some raised beds on it; maybe put some paving on left hand side it. A few questions:

- if I wanted to have a gravel base, what are the best options for 'boxing in' the edges to keep the gravel in? What if I wanted to split the slab so only gravel on the right hand part?
- the concrete seems pretty level (tried pouring water on and it just sits), which I guess is not good for drainage. What would be the best way to manage that?
- how else should I prep the concrete - weed membrane?

Or should I just have the whole lot ripped out and go back to bare ground. (I'm really just trying to cut costs and do it quickly hence trying build on what we've got vs having to get someone in to do it and dispose of the waste)

Any advice appreciated!
Mick
