condensate combi boilers ?

speaking to a clerk of works today who works for the council.
he says they might go back to non condensate boilers because of last winter too many call out about freezing condensate pipes anyone else heard anything

well your clark of works does relise they changed the law so we can not fit anything but condesing boilers know

thats the first sensible thing to come from a clerk of works i have ever heard, unfortunately he can't change a law, so , i think what they'll probably do, is change the way we fit um, and make a compulsury internal drain connection,
 
As per usual, the council numpty did not have a clue what he was on about.
On second thought, he was probably a she. :rolleyes:
 
Be interesting to see just how many installs will be able to have an 'all internal' condensate connection.

Another 'illegals' charter as I see it. (along the lines of "I fit your boiler cheap, and, anywhere you want it missus")
