Condensate pipe of my boiler (WBosch) exits my house in 21.5mm overflow pipe, then switches to black 32mm waste pipe via an adaptor almost immedately. Black waste pipe then runs 2.5 meters to external drain at floor level.
Obvioulsy it is freezing up every day at the moment and is becoming a real pain in the backside. Looks like a half @rsed job to be honest.

Getting someone in to re-route internally could be a problem as it would mean taking up the kitchen floor tiles to get to the internal soil stack (or getting underneath the house somehow!)
So question is, can I change it all to 21.5mm overflow pipe externally and try to lag it sufficiently or am I wasting my time doing that as my guess is it will freeze at pipe exit anyhow ?!? Leaving internal re-route as only option?

Thanks

Ben

put a heating wire on it which will keep the pipe just above freezing point.
