We have condensation problem and mould problem with our porch. The walls are single skin thickness but the mould is not caused by penetrating damp or rising damp as have checked the roof and damp proofing and i am positive that it is casued by condensation. There is a single glazed front door and side panel with glass paneled window. We have an internal door that leads into the house from the porch. The panels and doors are covered in condensation in the mornings and some evenings. There is no heating in the porch which is not a problem. The roof is a pitched roof and has no insulation. The mould is only occuring on the cold walls of the porch and the floor which is tiled (this is run off from the door and window panels). There is no ventilation in the porch. Would i be better to install an external front door instead of the current internal door leading into the house from the porch to alleviate the hot air going into the porch (causing condensation) and/or installing additional insulation to walls and floor and damp proof membrane to the existing walls and then cladding?
