Hello
I have a flat roofed garage extension and have noticed heavy condensation on the above appliances.Basically I use the garage as a utility room because it also contains a washer and a dryer. Unfortunately it also gets rather draughty due to the fact the builders left gaps around the perimeter of the garage just below the joists which seem to allow dampness as well. This is obvious to me due to the fact any tools made from steel tend to rust.
I thought about blocking the gaps using insulation blocks and attaching plaster boards to the joists but given the condensation I am not so sure now,.Can anyone advise me please? thanks

Vent the dryer outside or replace it with a heap pump one.

Leave the draughty holes they are doing more good than harm.

so would a heat pump dryer be better than a condenser dryer, which is what I have ?
