Hi

I recently got my house plastered. I put the radiator in the room but it doesnt drip water but builds up then lands in pan. but not alot

its only when heating is off or cooling down. when on there is no water and its dry

how can i stop this?

cheers

hi

its the nut on the lockshield thats where it builds up but its not a constant drip.

If you mean the gland nut at the top, just below the spindle, then just tighten this a quarter turn or so (until it stops leaking). When the water is hot the leaking water evaporates so it appears only to leak when cold.

hi

its the nut that connects from the radiator to the lockshield on the side

is that the one you mean?

cheers

FFS, use a tissue and use your eyes. Tell us where the leak comes from, then maybe someone will be able to help.

It's abit like saying "help, I have water on my kitchen floor, where is it coming from...?"

ive had the pan under the area. The water comes from the nut which screws from the radiator to the lockshield. But like i said its not constant just when its cool.

Tweek it till it stops or take the rad off again and replace the olives - talking about it won't help!! :)
