Condenser Pump Issue

If it goes into the soil stack, I hope there is a trap.

Personally can't see why a pumps been fitted ? May as well just connected straight from the boiler ???

There should be a high level switch in the pump which ought to be wired to the boiler to prevent it from operating if the pump is not emptying its reservoir.
