Hi, We are having our Bathroom refitted and having had one guy round to give a quote who said he would tile over the old tiles (no he did not get the job !) I decided to eliminate this happening
again so I removed all the tiles myself. Most of them came off very easily with only some effort required to get the rest off. I have now had another guy in to look at the job and he said the walls would need plastering. I am inclined to disagree because; only some plaster work has come away, ie from the wall where the cabinet hung which was never tiled in the first place. We are talking a few mm here and there. He said about the old adhesive (whats left of it) needing to be scraped back. I am of the opinion that the new adhesive should, and would, rectify this. I think he is just trying to find make because it is a very small room 53 inches x 79 inches. I would welcome any advice.
