Confirmed artificial slate contains white asbestos. Is 4.6k reasonable?

Just moved into the victorian terrace house.
I have done an asbestos survey and confirmed the artificial slate on the victorian terrace.

The firm that did the survey also provided a quotation for the removal and disposal.
It is estimated the area of the roof is around 50-60m2
It is £4,650 included VAT but not including Scaffolding.
Do you think it is a reasonable price?

They mentioned it is low risk if the tiles are not disturbed or not damaged.
I wouldn't want to touch it but I really want like to fix the weathered chimney stack. Is it safe to hire some roofer to fix the chimney stack without disturbing the roof tiles?

Any advise will be very helpful.

Thank you in advance

Thanks Catlad, Do you mean I don't really need to worry too much about the tiles and just fix the chimney as a normal job?

A roofer roofs, not rebuilds walls. And if the flues are in use, gas or solid fuel regulations will apply.

As you will be disturbing a few slates, you are obligated to inform anyone working on them of their asbestos content. Likewise anyone working on them should be "asbestos aware" and able to deal with them safely and without removal.
