I have duplicated my post in this forum as my request involves a thermostsat so thought it may be relevant
Hi, I wonder if somebody could offer me some advice?
In my kitchen I have a 1KW electric plinth heater (it used to be 2KW but I have disconnected 1 of the heating elements as it was bubbling the silver paint that I resprayed the front grill with).
Unfortunately it does not have a thermostat so once switched on it just runs continously. I would like to connect it to a room stst mounted on the wall, but am unsure whether a conventional stst would be capable of switching this amount of current, or the best way to wire it up?
Please advise.
