Connecting a shaver socket

Do I need to do via the ceiling light fittings or can I do it out of the back of a wall socket for mains plugs?

They are normally supplied from the lighting circuit.
If you are adding it in a bathroom you need to ensure it is an isolation transformer type and is also notifiable to your LABC under part p.
