Connecting different brands of plastic pipes

Hi,
I had some old piping work done with JG brand ( fittings and pipes) some time ago.
Year ago we did a bathroom and Hep20 was used. Base what I see under a floor new plumber connected JG pipes with Hep20 pipes using brass compression fittings.
Now need another pipe and wondering what is the correct way as have still in the garage JG pipe and need to connect it to the Hep20 pipe and wondering if can use Hep20 push-fit connector with JG pipe. Outside they both 15mm pipes.

Yes, but try and use the correct inserts, i.e. same manufacturer of the pipe.

Presume you mean JG, not JD?
