Hello,

awkward one -

I am trying to devise a way to do the above. I am fitting a new downstairs WC. Having just exposed the SVP ive found it to be noted as 3.5", and measures at 102mm diameter.

Because of the geometry of the existing SVP (it has a bend below and a joggle above) I cannot use flexible coupling top and bottom. The only way I can think of is to slide the new PVC branch up to accept the 3.5" iron waste and connecting the bottom with a flexible couple.

Even if I caulk the top fixing the whole thing seems a bodge.

Any clever ideas?

Many thanks,

you can get a fitting like a rubber sleeve dont know the actual name just seen em. plumbers merchants will be able to sort u out.

Get a couple of timesavers (that is their name) with adaptor for 3 1/2" cast - plastic

thanks - ill have to get down the plumbers merchant tomorrow and hope they'll sell to a diy'er!

Only have about 320mm to actually get the new branch in. Hopefully the new branch will be less than that....

Many thanks again.
