Hi,

Is it possible to connect a shower unit 63A, 30mA RCD, 50A MCB to my existing consumer unit by using the cable coming out of it and wiring this to a henley block and then wiring back to the consumer unit ? I don't want to use the cable coming from the meter and pulling the service fuse as just too nervous for this.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Not quite sure what you have in mind, but might depend on the capacity of the existing unit.

To be honest, if you are nervous and having to ask about such things, it's probably not a job you should be contemplating.

Building regulations apply too so you might be better calling someone in.

Thanks for reply,

I was just thinking I could have connected the existing cu to a new shower unit as I've no room left in the existing cu to connect the shower to.

Anybody recommend a good electrician in Bolton area?!

Thanks,
Steve
