Hi Thanks for any advice.

The next door neighbours are having a huge conservatory build that will butt onto the borders of our patio in a `L` shape...it is going to be very intrusive. There is already a conservatory there - a large one. Apparently when the planning officer came to inspect the site for the new conservatory he stated that the site was already over-developed but that the increased over-development would not impact significantly more on our property that it already is - so planning permission was granted. This reads to me like "you broke the rules before and got away with it - so you can pull it down and rebuild it breaking the same rules and....you can break the even more this time." Christ!
