We recently moved into a new house and there is a socket in the conservatory but this is wired into a 13a plug which is plugged into the kitchen socket.

Is this a really wrong way of doing things? Effectively it's just an extension lead with a normal socket is it not?

Thanks in advance.

Not the neatest or best way to do it, but nothing wrong there. The proper way would involve cutting chasing in the walls and re-decorating.Is it worth it? What do you intend using in the conservatory?

Probably very little, maybe a couple of lamps.

There is a heater in there already plugged in, not sure whether we would use it.

Would it be wrong to add another socket from the current socket? Just so it's in a more convenient position. (i.e. wired from the back of the current socket to a new one, not plugged in to other socket).
