Is it possible to replace the polycarbonate channel type roof with double glazed units?
I saw this video by Pilkington about some glass system that kept it cooler in summer and warmer in winter, but they showed the installers replacing the whole roof structure. Seemed unnecessary to me. Or is the weight of DG units too much for most conservatory roof structures?

DB units would be too heavy normally for the frame. 4mm DG is 20kg/m 6mm is 30kg/m
16mm Polycarbonate has a u-value of ~2.4, 35mm 1.5, none solar glass is 1.2.
