Consumer Unit - is this normal?

I have only seen one CFL go like that - it was a cheap brand one. In that instance it did trip the B6 MCB.

I have known several of the 'supermarket' energy savers that home owners buy cause a constant fault when they fail.

I have been called out several times to a lighting circuit that has tripped and wont reset due to a fault lamp. Customer could have figured it out if they turned light switches off, but they are not that clever :LOL:
