Contact adhesive and Xtratherm boards

Will contact adhesive, as used on the edges and upstands of an EPDM roof, attack the core of Xtratherm foiled insulations boards, if it comes into contact?

I ask because the design of a roof we're building involves sticking EPDM over the edge of a couple of boards to form a rain gully. I need to know if it's safe to use contact adhesive.
