I have 3 Hikvision cameras that are currently on BNC/12V into an NVR. I'd like to add to the system and install some new Reolink cameras which will be PoE but I'd like to view the Reolink and the Hikvision cameras in the same application. That would be either the Reolink app/NVR or in Frigate via Homeassistant. Is there an interface that I could buy that will convert the BNC/12V into IP so that they can connect to an NVR or Frigate?

The cameras on your DVR could possibly use command lines.

So you DVR is on up address 192.168.x.x
Each camera is on a channel 1,2 and 3

You then have users name and password for the DVR.

So the command line will be something like

IP of DVR + Channel of cameras plus username of DVR plus password of DVR.

It’s also possible that a camera may or may not have multiple streams, and that can also be factored into the command line.

You would need to search for the command line for you DVR model.

The formats for the command lines do vary even within brands so you need to look at specific ones first your DVR.

So in theory you may not need a physical adapter.

Not family with HAs frigate but would expect that some on here do use frigate and maybe able to give more specific information on it.

I keep saying I will look into frigate but never seem to get round to it, my understanding is frigate can be used for some advanced analytics of the video data streams into a common platform but not sure what the specifications are required for it.

So had a quick look at ha frigate

Shows the streams command lines, obviously you need the specifics for your cameras/ DVR
