Hi

My front porch way used to have a sliding door at the very front. (Where my cuppa tea is!) This was removed leaving the upvc door.

As you can see the porch was rendered. But where the old sliding door was at the very front there is a plastic dpm which wasn't removed and just rendered over. It's now cracking and sounds hollow.

Surely rendering over a plastic dpm isn't correct?

How can I possibly fix this myself. Do I need to keep some sort of dpm thats better suited?

Thanks

Paste in:

"can you render over a dpm?"

and you'll get some info.

Basically you can render over a dpm, but you need to be using the right materials and techniques.
