Hi I am planning to convert half my garage space into an office. It is attached to my property but not integral. The walls are single leaf brick apart the joining wall which is blockwork. The garage has a dpc and has a concrete base. Is it just a case of putting 50x50 frame up on the walls then fixing gypsum board to the frame ? Do I need a DPM ? If I put insulation in the void should I leave an air space ? Any suggestions on the floor I was going to us 50mm polystrene (blue stuff) and fix 18mm ply down.
Thanks

If you are converting under a b/regs application, then its not enough and you ned more insulation to floor and wall.

In any case, you don't need an additional DPM, but you should have a vertical membrane up the external walls
