Hi,

Buying a new cooker this week and it will draw a max of 3200w (from the instruction book) and says it should be "hard wired"

My cooker feed is currently fed via 6mm cable on a 32A MCB, What is the best way to connect the oven?

The cable also needs to supply the starter on my gas hob.

Thanks

At 3200W the cable will only need to be capable of carrying about 14A. The existing 6mm cable will be fine.

The existing cable will be fine, the MI should state what rating the protective device should be, likely to be 16-20A.
If ignition for gas is required, you will be best taking feed from cooker outlet plate to a FCU and downsizing fuse rating to hob.
