Hi,

My hob has packed up and need a new one until we get a new kitchen. The hob im looking at takes 7KW and we have an electric oven taking about 2700w. Would these both be ok on a 6mm twin and earth protected by a 32A mcb?

Thanks

but that would be nearly 10KW on a 6mm twin and earth.... surely thats too much? TLC website says 10mm cable

Cookers have 'diversity' applied because the elements will not all be on at the same time because of their thermostats.

6mm² cable and 32A mcb is good for 15kW cookers (oven and hob) plus integral socket in the switch.
