Cooker element

I need to replace the element in my fan oven. How do I remove the small screws I think they are called hex nuts. I have tried a small spanner but there is no room to turn it.

You probably need a small socket set as a spanner just gets in the way!

The hex nut you can see is the end of a bolt,it does not turn,you will need to remove nuts from behind.
