I did think about it properly last year. But after monitoring the whole summer, after we discussed it, there wasn't a single day or night when we would have had it on. We haven't even taken a fan out of the cupboard for three years.

It is about four degrees cooler than the South here and about eight degrees cooler than London at night time.

I think the last summer when I really wished we had it was around 2008.

When you go to Benidorm, it's always a good idea to pop a couple of damp hand towels in the freezer every morning.
Break them open when you get back in the evening and place them over your shoulders for instant blissful relief.
Forget the sun cream, it's just a con for people who aren't aware that the sun in Spain is the same one we have here.

I used to be brainwashed into thinking it was different too, but it really is the same one.
