My plumber is using copper pipe to contect my gas hob up. He isn't Corgi registered, but is this illegal? (the choice of pipe that is)
Once again, you collective wisdom is appreciated.

Jonny, virtually all hobs must be connected using copper pipe. Flexible rubber hoses are not allowed... Dunno why, they just aren't.

As has been said, it is illegal for your plumber to be doing this unless he is Corgi registered. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be unsafe, even Corgi fitters make mistakes. For the sake of £50 you really should get a proper Corgi in even if it does annoy your plumber. Then if something goes wrong, the Corgi has insurance to cover it. Your non-corgi plumber may not.
