copper pipe measurements

is metric pipe measured on the outer bore , and imperial on the inner. i think some of the old pipe in my hous is 3/4 " what do i need to connect it to 22mm

Get a yorkshire 22 x 3/4 slip or some 3/4 olives to use with compression fittings.

Why do you think you have ¾"? It's outside diameter is 21.5mm whereas that of 22mm is, er, 22mm. So you'd have a job telling.... Imperial sized tube hasn't been used since about 1973? I think.

22mm olives feel very loose on ¾" tube, and there's still quite a lot of the old stuff around here. :(
