Couldnt find what I wanted in the DIY stores - maybe as it doesnt exist.

Want to chop into a copper pipe and insert a t-piece which will then allow me to connect a speedfit extension to the shower.

Is there such a joint or do I need a combination of joints to achieve this.

Found the Brass compression T-peice but couldnt find another straight coupler that would let me connect one system to the other.

you can use speedfit plastic connections or brass compression fittings on both plastic and copper just make sure you use the plastic inserts for the plastic pipe.

easiest way is use a speedfit tee.
cut the copper with pipe cutters or pipeslice.
do not use a hacksaw.
no inserts required for copper.[/u]

So I can simply push a peice of copper pipe into the end of a speedfit connecter it it will be as good a joint as shoving the plastic pipe in?
