Hello All,

Have BT broadband and home hub 4.
Use WiFi around the house.
We need to replace our cordless phones.
I have heard that some cordless phones interfere with WiFi.
What type (spec) of cordless phone do I ask for / avoid, to eliminate / minimise the likelihood of buggering up the WiFi?
(Looking at Siemens Gigaset phones at the mo, but only because of the ratings - have no idea whether they're compatible or not).

Thanks in anticipation.

Modern DECT phones use a different frequency from Wifi kit provided you buy a CE stamped unit from a reputable seller.

In addition you should be able to change the broadcast channel on your BT Router should you have problems, usually caused by cheap Chinese electronics (Maplins TV distribution systems, eBay child monitors, etc).

Buy Siemens Gigaset range (try Ligo.co.uk), not particularly robust for tiled floors but very reliable.

Andy

Thanks Andy, and phew! Bought a couple of gigasets yesterday.
Showed missus how to programme the address book, so should be peace and quiet for a couple of days
