hi,

hoping someone can answer what may seem a simple question (not to me)..
ive just bought an old viewer for 8mm film.. anyway, it has the old british plug..
i need to put a new plug on but I am not sure of the correct wiring.. It has red, green and black wires

Is this correct?
Live = Red
Neutral = Black
Earth = Green
:shock:

yes, thats correct. Dont leave so much of the conductor exposed as in those pictures though. Would suggest having the appliance tested before you use it though. Dont know if a PAT test would reveal any faults in it - perhaps someone else can advise . . .
