Ceiling rose wiring into terminal block on halogen spotlight....

In the ceiling rose i have wires as follows;
switch return (red)
switch feed (red)
2 mains loop (red) L
2 mains loop (black) N
earth (green yellow)

In the terminal block,

household supply light fitting
loop (unswitched live) loop (unswitched live)
black (neutral) blue (n)
green/yellow (earth) green/yellow
red (switched live) brown (live)

Now firstly i connect the mains loop red (L) to loop unswitched live,
then mains loop (N) to black and to blue
earth to earth
switched feed (L) to red (switched live) and switch return to brown.....

Is this correct way to fit a Halogen spotlight fitting.....
thanx

Sound like it, but you have over complicated your description a bit..

What you are going to have is 4 terminals

1 - permanent live
2 - switched live
3 - earth
4 - neutral

Ignoring the earths which are all connected together. Connect your loop in's and out's to the permanent live and neutral. Connect your switch feed to the permanent live and the switch return to the switched live. Now connect your light fitting/transformer to the switched live and neutral.

As for using terminal block that is ok so long as you enclose it in something like a "choc box" or use an appropriate junction box.
