corsa c tempature gauge

hi there just wanting bit of advice on whats happening to my tempature gauge,the hose going from the throttle to the water pump the plastic part broken off so i had to take it to vauxhall to have a new water pump done,once i got it back from the garage my tempature gauge has been fluctuates,never done that before they done the work on it, so has anyone any ideas what they have done help would be greatful

Its giving a near enough accurate reading then, could be a faulty sensor, or poor connection or maybe some air round it - personally I wouldn't worry about it.

How fast are the fluctuations? if they are instantaneous then probably poor electrical connection or sensor about to fail,
if the temp is slowly varying then I would suggest air in the system.
