Corvec Miniflame

I recently purchased a Corvec Miniflame with attached single bed flat in South London. Is it going to be a problem getting the boiler serviced/fixed as it appears to be of some antiquity :?:

Not really. But it's likely to be pretty sludged up if it's old old. Parts are still listed.
 
If this is what I think it is then its an instant water heater configured as a Ch boiler. It uses the pump flow to turn on the gas and operates without electricity in the boiler.

It is reasonable reliable but its potentially pretty unsafe because the boiler ccover only has two screws to hold the case together and after 10-20 years the seals are probably in poor condition. I hope its not in the bedroom!

They look older than they are but in my area they have all been fitted directly above the bath in flats that have no other outside wall due to the electrics (lack of) and are virtually all rotten on the underside rear panel

No, not in my bedroom or above my bath. In a separate utility room. Don't like the idea of the seals failing though.
Is it a question of taking pot luck in finding a professional to check it out?
