Could this control Central Heating?

Moving house at the end of the month and came across this switch in an upstairs airing cupboard.

House has oil fired heating in a utility room downstairs and we believe there is UFH in the lounge but not sure where the controls are for this.

My question is;
Could this switch be an old redundant Economy 7 control, (seems likely but don't know if this was ever installed), or could it be the control for either the UFH or the oil fired C/H?

I should have mentioned the oil boiler is a combi type and there is no storage tank in the cupboard.
Do you think this is now redundant? Haven't tested it to see if there is still a supply to it as didn't have my meter with me when we went to view the property.

Totally redundant if a combi has been fitted. The airing cupboard would have contained the hot water cylinder which this device was for.

May well be still connected to power, but should be simple to disconnect and remove, as they usually have their own circuit.
