People should be able to enjoy the beach without having to avoid dog crap and have dogs bounding up at you...Why should I not be allowed to walk a dog on an empty beach?

Yeah, but people tend to sit/lie down on a beach. One dog turd anywhere where people are is one too many.

May as well ban cyclists from roads incase they jump a red light.Reason enough to ban all dogs then, just to be on the safe side.

And the tide comes in and out too.Yeah, but people tend to sit/lie down on a beach.

Probably more than you think. You won’t find too many people laying on the beach at 7am or 10pm.
There is a Hindu thing called bhutayajna which is why you will see whole loves of bread emptied out on Hindu community areas/ parksPerhaps necessary? Last week, I was in a busy town square, lots of people making good use of bench seats, in the morning sun, eating and drinking. Along comes a character, with what looked like a 1Kg bag of bird seed, sat on one of the benches, and proceeded to scatter the seed. Hundreds of pigeons suddenly appeared, the square was covered with them and various roof-tops. The people in the square, had to quickly move out, yet the guy was oblivious.
It's aganist the law to feed them, for a very good reason - they are flying rats.
